Melanie K. Snyder is an Assistant Professor of Law at Villa Julie College. She began teaching as an adjunct professor at Anne Arundel Community College in 1999 and at Villa Julie College in 2000. In 2002, she joined the full-time faculty at Villa Julie College, where she teaches Legal Research and Writing, Fundamentals of Law I, Torts, and Senior Seminar, among other courses. Ms. Snyder is also the pre-law advisor on Villa Julie's campus.
Prior to teaching, Ms. Synder clerked for the Honorable John C. Eldridge on the Maryland Court of Appeals and worked for six years as a litigator and employment law attorney with Lerch, Early & Brewer, LLC., in Bethesda, Maryland. She has also worked for the Litigation Division of the Baltimore City Attorney General's Office.
Ms. Snyder received her B.A. from Miami University of Ohio and her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review. She is also a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars.
